The Countdown & Race is on…..

I seem to see a bit of a pattern emerging here, with both my posting and crafting habits. It appears I am spending a lot of time thinking about the craft projects I want/need to get finished, and then right before the NEED TO BE DONE I start the race to get them done!

My last blog was about a few things I needed to complete before I visited DS17 in Adelaide, another was before DS moved to Adelaide….and now I am blogging about some things I need to get done before we all go to Adelaide for DS’s 18th!

I need to complete 2 children’s aprons (by complete I mean, source pattern & start, then finish!) for my Nephew & Niece, I am taking their christmas presents with us on the trip. Also I need to start & complete (can you see the pattern emerging?) the tops that DD4 & DD5 will be wearing for DS’s party. He is going with an ‘emerald city’ theme, and everyone needs to wear green/black/gold/silver in any combination. I have gotten a great little pattern, and have some green sequin fabric & some black. It is simplicity pattern 2431…..

Then finally I need to make two more mermaid tails for each DD for Christmas.

So…. the race to get these finished (and started) is on, unfortunately so too is the countdown to Christmas. Will let you know how I go! Oh BTW only the mermaid tails have until Christmas to be finished, all the others need to be done before Nov 23….but of course no pressure 😐

I haven’t been totally without craftiness since my last blog however, we have finished a bookshelf to go in DD4’s room, will blog about that another time. And we have made as start on painting up some little shelf units for the girls rooms.
